The sixth grade math
class is currently studying business and economics. They are participating
in a simulated project in which they have been given an opportunity to
start and run their own friendship bracelet business. They incorporated
with the state, sold shares of stock to the venture capitalist, purchased
supplies, designed and manufactured their product, and ran marketing campaigns
preceeding the Sales Bazaar.
Today's Sales bazaar was quite successful. Many students, parents, and
teachers came out to support the sixth grade in their venture. During
the last few minutes of the bazaar, many companies even ran inventory
clearence sales. The sixth grade students decided at the beginning of
this project to donate all profits to the Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund.
(Not only are they excellent business persons, but philanthropists as
well!)
Congratulations to all!
